Welcome
Dear Readers,
Welcome to the Chobham Academy website. I am Alice Hodgson and I am the Head of School in the Primary Phase.
Our academy is a wonderful place to learn. In the primary phase, we have the privilege of working with Chobham’s youngest students as they begin their journey through school and grow to become engaged and capable learners. We believe that a safe and nurturing first school experience is key to students’ wellbeing and later academic success. It’s in the primary phase that students first begin to develop a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge which will stay with them throughout their lives. Our learning environment enables our students to grow in confidence and build resilience as they develop. These formative years in a child’s education are crucial and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible start.
Our greatest asset at Chobham is our students. Our school motto encourages all our young learners to be P.R.O.U.D – professional, responsible, optimistic, understanding and determined and to demonstrate these characteristics in all they do. Success at school is always underpinned by strong relationships between staff and students and building these is at the centre of all we do.
At Chobham, we deliver a stimulating and broad curriculum and we are incredibly proud of the exceptional results our students achieve across the full range of curriculum subjects. Whether our students are young mathematicians, scientists, musicians, athletes or their talents take them in other directions, we give them the opportunity to cultivate those passions at school.
With us, our students take the first steps on their journey to becoming active, engaged and responsible citizens in their future lives. It’s a great pleasure to share this journey with them during their years in the primary phase.
