Times of the Day

At Chobham, we design our timetables to ensure that time is maximised for learning and children have adequate time to relax and socialise with their peers. Our students arrive at 8.15am and the school day begins promptly at 8.30am. All students have a 20-minute morning break and 50 minutes for lunch and further play. The school day ends for all students at 3.15pm. Children in full-time EYFS arrive and leave the academy at the same time as their older peers. They spend 30 minutes in the dining room eating their lunch and their learning is largely play-based, giving them plenty of opportunity to build social skills and friendships as well during the academy day.

Students at Chobham enjoy a rich and varied timetable, which ensures that they build strong foundations in maths and literacy as well as develop their knowledge and discover their interests and passions across the curriculum. We are proud to be able to offer our students lessons in Mandarin, art, design and technology, music, PE and computing as well as the traditional subject offering. We also timetable three assemblies per week to build community and bolster our children’s social, spiritual and cultural development as they grow and mature.
