Specialist Teaching in Art, Music, PE and Mandarin
Our provision fosters a love of language, sport, art and music right from the beginning of the student’s primary school careers. Research shows that students’ brains are the most malleable while they are very young so we believe this is the perfect time to begin their lifelong journeys as musicians, artists, sportspeople and musicians. All of these subject areas are embedded in the EYFS provision before students begin their discrete lessons in Y1 continuing all the way to Y6. Every week, students in Y1-6 enjoy four hours of specialist teaching; one hour each of Mandarin, art, PE and music. These lessons are taught by highly-skilled specialist teachers, who teach only their subjects throughout the week.
