Today, we will be looking a piece of artwork called 'The Tree of Life' by the famous artist, Gustav Klimt. We will be examining this specific piece of art by analysing its shapes, patterns and colours the artist has been used as well as its symbolism. Are you going to draw your own version of 'The Tree of Life'?
9th Feb 2021 Maths
Starting our new unit of 'addition and subtraction' today, we will be revising addition facts for 100 with multiples of 10 and related subtraction facts. More specifically, we will be looking at two different methods for addition and subtraction: 1) partition (both addends when you add, only the subtrahend when you subtract) and 2) number lines. Welcome to part 2 of our lesson on 'addition and subtraction'. In today's lesson, we will be looking at addition facts for 100 and related subtraction facts. You will learn how to work out addition facts to 100 by partitioning both addends, revise how to subtract from 100 using number lines and solve addition and subtraction problems.
